GENERAL SHIPPING INFO
- Shipping Costs
Calculated based on the total weight of the items you have in your Shopping Cart. A shipping estimator is available on the Shopping Cart page. Shipping refunds are not given on combined/multiple orders.
- Shipping Timeline
All in-stock orders are shipped within 1-3 business days (Monday-Friday) from time of purchase. We do not hold packages for mailing at a later date.
- Shipping Notification
You will receive an email notification when your shipment has been packaged and is ready for mailing. Please note that it will take 24-48 hours for the tracking information to update within the USPS system.
- Reasons for a Shipping Delay
We cannot ship on days that are recognized as holidays by the United States Postal Service. If we expect a shipping delay, that is non-holiday related, a notice will be posted on the home page of the shop (example: extreme weather conditions in our area, being out of town for an event, etc.). If an incorrect shipping address is provided upon checkout, and the package is returned, GnomeAcres is not responsible for the costs incurred to reship the item(s) to the correct address. Please note that natural disasters (ie: hurricanes, tornadoes, forest fires, flooding, etc.) surrounding your area can, and will, delay arrival times. It is advised that you do NOT place an order that is to be sent into an area that is preparing for an imminent natural disaster.
- Order Changes
While GnomeAcres reserves the right to ship your items within 1-3 business days, we often package your order and have it ready to ship within just a few hours. This means you may receive a shipping notification very shortly after you order, sometimes within the hour, and your package could already be in the hands of the delivery service. For this reason, we cannot accept changes to orders once a shipping notification has been generated. We will, however, accept changes to eligible orders within a 24 hour timeframe, provided a shipping label has not yet been generated.
- USPS First Class Mail, or USPS Priority Mail (for orders over 15 ounces).
- Tracking is provided for ALL shipments.
- Items usually arrive within 2-8 business days. Shipping during peak holiday seasons, and/or inclement weather, will affect the arrival time.
- GnomeAcres is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any losses. We work diligently to ensure that ALL PACKAGES are given directly to post office employees, and securely packaged. We cannot be held responsible for the actions of the postal service past this point. Prior to shipping, insurance and upgrades to USPS Priority Mail (which will cover up to $50 insurance) can be purchased at an additional cost to the buyer. Please leave a note within your order when checking out if you want to add insurance, or upgrade to USPS Priority Mail. If you receive a package that is damaged/broken, and was shipped via USPS Priority, you can file a claim with the USPS.
CANADA & INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
- USPS First Class Mail International.
- Tracking will NOT be updated once the package leaves the United States. A USPS Customs number will be provided. (For complete tracking information, an upgrade to Priority International shipping can be purchased upon request. The additional cost is the responsibility of the buyer.)
- Items usually arrive within 1-6 weeks, but could take longer if held by customs. Shipping during peak holiday seasons, and/or inclement weather, will affect the arrival time.
- GnomeAcres is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any losses, duties, taxes or customs charges that may be incurred. We work diligently to ensure that ALL PACKAGES are given directly to post office employees, and securely packaged. We cannot be held responsible for the actions of the postal service past this point. Prior to shipping, insurance can be purchased at an additional cost to the buyer. Please leave a note within your order when checking out if you choose to add insurance.
- Prices listed on the site are in United States dollar (USD).
- All Illinois residents are required to pay 6.85% sales tax.
- All transactions from the GnomeAcres shop are encrypted by GeoTrust.
- Accepted: Major credit cards and PayPal.
- Not Accepted: Personal checks, e-checks, money orders, or credit cards via email.
COUPON CODES & STORE CREDITS
- MUST be entered during checkout. No exceptions. Discounts will not be honored post checkout.
- If a valid code is entered correctly, you will see the discount applied before submitting your order during the checkout process.
- Only one coupon code can be used per order.
- Coupon codes cannot be applied to Gnomemade to Order listings, pre-orders, or gift certificates.
- Any Store Credits you have saved within your store account will be automatically applied to an order. (Must be logged in to your account prior to checking out for the Store Credit to be applied.)
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If for any reason you are not, please send a message within 5 business days of receiving your item(s) so we can discuss options. Each return/exchange is looked at on an individual basis, and no action will be taken until the item(s) have been returned and thoroughly inspected.
You must contact GnomeAcres in advance of returning/exchanging an item. We reserve the right to refuse a return/exchange if the item has been sent back without prior notification, and is beyond 5 business days of the receipt of shipment.
- Return: Only the price of the item(s) will be refunded, not the original shipping costs.
- Exchange: Item(s) of similar pricing must be chosen, and they must be in-stock items. Buyer is responsible for any cost differences.
- Return/Exchange Shipping Costs: Responsibility of the buyer. It is highly recommended that tracking is purchased for the item(s) being returned/exchanged. GnomeAcres is NOT responsible for any item(s) that were sent back, and not received, if tracking was not purchased.
- Item Condition: Must be in the EXACT CONDITION it was in when purchased, no exceptions.
Items that are NOT eligible for return/exchange:
- Gnomemade to Order items
- Gift Certificates
- Club Shipments
- Seasonal Colorways
- Yarn that has the wrap removed, been cut, crocheted/knitted/felted, smell of smoke/pets, or has been wound (or attempted to be wound) into a yarn ball.
- Buttons that have been colored, or have had some type of finished applied to them.
- Clothing, tote bags, mugs, or any other GA swag, that has been worn/used.
- Any GA items purchased from a 3rd party (destash, yarn shop, eBay, Craigslist, etc.). No exceptions.
